It is Time!

It is time for me to figure out how this blog thing works. Here my wife and her friends are having all the fun and I am missing out on it! So here goes.

What in the world do I blog about? Who in their right mind wants to read anything I have to say? This is so weird. But I have gotten through emailing and most recently texting, surely I can figure out this blog thing.

So many things to blog about. First off, it's the day before Father's Day, and that brings both positive and negative thoughts to mind. I wish my dad were still here to celebrate with. I wish he were here to meet the three little rascals that God has given to Tami and me. I wish our relationship didn't end how it did. The reality is, I can't do anything to change any of it.

What I do have control over is how I treat the three little ones I have been blessed with - C, L, and P. Growing up I just knew I was destined to have 2 little boys. I mean, why in the world would God give anything but boys to this huge sports fan? Well that tells you how much I understand God. But now looking back - what was I thinking? Three gorgeous, precious little girls that tug at my heart at each and every glance. Now I wonder, why in the world would God have blessed me so much? No clue on that one - but I wouldn't change it for anything. They are my joy and my pride - can't say that enough. God, help me to pour my life into these sweet girls and help me to raise them in such a way that they would desire to intimately know you one day!

From a serious subject to one not so serious. Cycling. A new bike is on it's way to Houston - I can't wait. A Specialized Roubaix with a totally sweet paint job. Now I just need the discipline (and time) to get out there and ride more.

Happy Father's day to all you dads out there.

Brad

Not too shabby for your first post!
If your posts entertain me half as much as your texts do, I look forward to reading them!
God has definitely blessed you with three beautiful girls (well 4, including Tami) and they are all lucky to have you! Your dad would be very proud of what a good daddy you are.
Happy Father's Day!
