San Antonio/Sea World Trip

Last week, we spent a long weekend in San Antonio. Brad had a conference there during the week and we decided to make a little vacation out of it for us and our big girls who are about to start Kindergarten. We left Baby Peyton at home with Gram. We definitely missed our little girl, but we had a blast with our big girls. We are so thankful for Gram. We did so many things that would not have been possible if we had brought Peyton along with us. Thank you Gram! On Friday, we traveled to San Antonio and picked Brad up from his conference and headed straight to the Alamo. The girls thought the Alamo was kind of cool because of a treasure map they received from a sweet old man that worked at the Alamo who challenged them to find all of the things on the map that are displayed in the Alamo and in the surrounding gardens. After the Alamo, we headed to the River Walk to take a river boat ride with the girls. We definitely enjoyed the ride more than they did. Halfway through the tour, the girls asked when it was going to be over. As soon as the ride was over, we got some ice cream and then headed to our hotel. We stayed at the Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch. It was awesome! Thank you, Leslie, for hooking us up! It was definitely a great place to stay and would recommend it to anyone. We spent Friday afternoon and all of Saturday just hanging out at the hotel and enjoying all of it's amenities which included a lazy river, arcade, and indoor/outdoor pool. Then, on Sunday, we headed to Sea World. The girls had a blast! They actually rode every ride that they were tall enough to ride which included a couple of rollercoasters and a ride that dropped us 100 ft. We didn't even have to talk them into riding anything and after every ride, they wanted to ride it again. They also LOVED the Shamu show and so did we. However, the girls shed a couple of tears after the show was over because Shamu did not splash us. We purposely sat in the Splash zone so that we would get soaked, but that gigantic beast splashed everyone to our right and left and left us untouched. We also spent a little time at the water park in Sea World. We wish we could have spent more time there, but maybe next time. We definitely had a great weekend and had fun making lots of memories that we will cherish!

Lovebirds...Camryn was our photographer for this one!

We grabbed some ice cream on the River Walk and we started walking down the street and I turned around and saw our sweet girls holding hands and eating ice cream. I just had to take a picture of this sweet moment!

Our little fish, Camryn.

The girls chillin' on the lazy river at our hotel. We spent hours on this river! It was so relaxing to just sit in the tubes and float around the river. We also had lots of fun swimming in the river and trying to keep up with the girls.

The girls waiting for their first ride at Sea World...the Rio Loco ride. We got SOAKED on this ride. I think it took us about 3 hours to dry off from this ride. It was good though because it kept us cool!

On the Shamu rollercoaster...it was definitely one of their favorites.

Waiting for the Beluga whale show to start. What a great show with dolphins, whales, and lots of acrobats.

At the Shamu show.

Shamu out of the water! What a beautiful animal.
