A snowball fight with Daddy! Every year, our neighborhood hosts a Christmas party for the kids complete with snow, cookie decorating, and face painting. The girls had a blast throwing snowballs in 70 degree weather.

Camryn loving her Christmas feast at school which included Chick-Fil-A nuggets (her absolute fave!).
Our sweet girls!
The week before Christmas Gram came into town to celebrate Christmas with us. We had a blast with Gram while she was here. Camryn and Lauren love their new Leapsters that Gram gave them. We have to put time limits on them because they could play them all day!
And, Peyton loves her new princess push toy that Gram gave her. She can't quite push it yet or ride it by herself. Pretty soon she'll be tearing up the roads on this cool new ride just like her sisters did! For now, she loves to just sit on it (while Mommy or Daddy holds her) and push all the cool buttons.
Right before Christmas, we decided to ditch the baby bathtub and give Peyton her first bath in a REAL bathtub. She LOVES taking baths and she LOVES her new bath toys she got from Gram.
Santa came early to the Whitmarsh house this year since we left town on Christmas Eve. I guess you could say that the girls were extra nice this year since Santa came on Christmas Eve Eve night. The girls for the first time really took an interest in Santa. They had all kinds of questions about how Santa would get down our chimney and if they would be able to see him. They had fun putting out cookies and reindeer food (something they concocted at school consisting of oatmeal and glitter) for Santa and his reindeer.

We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my parents. Here is a picture of all the girls in their Christmas tree shirts. Peyton was missing in action...it was naptime!
Peyton and my mom.
We spent Christmas Eve afternoon going to the farm to go fishing and feed the cows. The girls love to fish with Uncle Jason! Unfortunately, the fish weren't biting that day.

I love this picture of Camryn.
We have a tradition of waking up on Christmas morning and singing Happy Birthday to Jesus complete with a cake and candle. We feel it is so important to focus on the real reason we celebrate Christmas and remembering that Christ's birth is the greatest gift of all expecially on Christmas morning when our focus can easily shift to the presents under the tree. Here is a picture of Camryn blowing out the candle on Jesus' birthday cake. Another tradition that we started this year is an Advent Jesse tree. For the 25 nights before Christmas, we unwrapped an ornament each night and hung it on our Advent tree and then read a Bible study about that ornament and how it correlates to Christ. The girls really got excited about unwrapping the ornaments and hanging them on the tree. I love this new tradition and I know that our girls will get more and more out of it as each year passes.

One of the girls' favorite gifts...their Big Wheels from Gaw Gaw and Paw Paw! They LOVE them and we LOVE them too! They are so much fun for them. We just wish they made Big Wheels for adults...oh what fun we would ALL have! The girls also LOVE their fishing poles that they received from Nanny and Uncle Lester. They practice casting their fishing poles every day. And, they have even gotten all the neighbors into casting as well. We have had quite a time untangling fishing line out of trees and bushes! We are working on aim!
