I got a phone call from school today and it nearly freaked me out. I just assumed that someone was sick or someone had gotten seriously hurt at school. The voice on the other end was Camryn telling me that she had lost her first tooth! I was so relieved and so very happy for her. You could just hear the excitement in her voice. She proceeded to tell me that she lost her tooth while eating 'King Cake' for a snack at school. My first reaction was who gets King Cake as a snack at school? Another subject for another day! The tooth was practically hanging on by a thread so we knew it was going to happen sooner or later. Later in the day when I picked Camryn and Lauren up from school, both girls could hardly contain their excitement. The school had even given Camryn a little treasure chest to keep her teeny tiny tooth safe. As we left school, they had to stop and tell EVERYONE (friend and stranger) that Camryn had lost her tooth. By the way, the tooth fairy IS making a visit to our house tonight. Unlike her sister, Camryn is super excited about the tooth fairy. However, the tooth is sitting on the dresser next to her bed. She too was a little freaked out about having some strange fairy reach under her pillow to get to her tooth and leave a surprise. I don't blame either of them, really. It's kind of a scary concept!
