We had a busy, busy weekend. It was action packed with a bridal shower for Jason and Meagan (Tami's brother and his fiance') on Saturday and a birthday party for Camryn & Lauren on Sunday. The bridal shower was so wonderful. The shower was hosted by both our family and Meagan's family at my Aunt MaryAnn's house in the Woodlands. Everything was beautiful and perfect. Meagan was just too cute as she opened all the gifts. She was very gracious and appreciative of all the gifts. She received some amazing and neat items, including her entire gift registry from Pampered Chef. We were all so envious of the cool, new kitchen gadgets she received. And, Meagan did an awesome job of telling us what each gadget did. She did such a great job 'selling' the gadgets to us that we all thought she should work for Pampered Chef full time. And, Jason joined in on the fun for the last 30 minutes of the shower and even got to open some gifts himself. It was truly a fun and memorable shower. Thank you to all of our family members who made the shower so wonderful. Here are some pictures from the shower.

Then, on Sunday, we celebrated Camryn & Lauren's 4th birthday at Cypress Academy of Gymnastics. We had about 15 kiddos come to the party. The girls had a blast and so did their guests. When we ask the girls what their favorite part of the party was, Lauren tells us it was when the gymnastics coach 'double bounced' her on the trampoline to make her fly high in the air and Camryn tells us it was when Mr. Rob (the daddy of their best friends Jacob and Jordan) threw her into the sponge block pit. It was a great time. Hopefully, Camryn and Lauren will remember it for a long time. Here are some pictures from the party.
Jumping time!

Happy Birthday to our girls!!!
We had a great weekend, but we are glad it is over. I'm especially glad it is over since I took on the task of making the cakes for both parties...a total of 3 cakes. I stressed last week just thinking about the cakes and how I was going to execute them. I even lost sleep a couple of nights just thinking about it. I had so much fun making the cakes, but making 3 cakes in a 48 hour time period is completely exhausting no matter how fun it is! I don't recommend it. Here are pics of the 3 cakes. They actually turned out better than I thought they would.

The cakes turned our really cute! Believe me, I know all about the cakes. I made the girls' birthday cakes this year (check out my other blog for pics) and it was a nightmare! It took over 14 hours to do the 3 cakes...never again :) You did a great job!
You did such an amazing job with the cakes!
I know you say it is too much pressure, but you are hired for my next cake. No excuses!
Looks like the girls had a great time at their party! We can't wait to come home and celebrate (late) with them!
We miss you guys!
Tami,
